State Annual Inspection 2008 and St. John Night 2008 ( 2 )

The Annual Johor State Inspection was successfully held on 26th October 2008 at Pei Chun Independent High School, Pontian Besar, Johor attended by over 300 members and officers from Johor.

This annual event was graced by our SJAM Commander-In-Chief, Dato' Dr. Low Bin Tick, and SJAM Selangor State Commander Mr Burnard Yeo Kim Thong. Also present our SJAM Johor State Commander YB Dr. Lee Hong Tee, also State Assemblyman for Jementah, and State Superintendent (Operation) Mr. Yu Chin Yan, Abraham.

Congratulation to Our Area Staff Officer

The one and only representative from Johr State St. John Ambulance, Area Staff Officer of SJAM Muar Area Mr. Tan Sia Ruh finally had finish his expedition in Mount Kota Kinabalu hike on Thursday, 16/10/08 @ 0640 hrs. This event was held in conjuction with SJAM 100th year celebration. Congratulation to him and well done to him once again. And also not forget to congrates all the other 61 members and officers who success in this expedition. Bravo !! St. John !!

St. John Ambulance of Malaysia Exhibition

We are glad to announce that The Headquater of St. John Ambulance of Malaysia will be having an exhibition from 1st December 2008 to 31st December 2008 in Muzium Negara. All officers and members as well as public are encourage to visit this exhibition. This will make you all know more about the history of St. John Ambulancce of Malaysia and also her service in Malaysia in this 100 years. It is not easy that a NGO can survive and keep growing providing voluntary service in a country for 100 years. Hope to see you there....

Area Cadet Camp 2008

After been waiting and waiting and waiting for 5 years. Finally we have our Area Cadet Camp again this year. Detail of the camp is as follow :

• Venue : SJK(C) Soon Cheng
• Date : 17th December 2008 - 21st December 2008
• Fees : RM70/person ( All the meals, T-shirt, Insurance and so on are included )

Cadet Proficiency Badge that will be tested in this camp are as follow :

1. The Knowledge of The Order of St. John
2. Anti-Drug Abuse
3. Fire Fighting
4. Outdoor Persuit

This camp is open to all Cadet Members of SJAM Muar Area. We welcome everyone to join this camp. If you have any enquiry about this camp please don't hesistate to contact with Camp Secretariat, Mr Liu Shyan Chi, Mr Tan Suo Jie, Ms Ng Hwee Ying and Mr Tan Teik Ban.

That is the end of Raya Highway Emergency Ambulance Service (HEAS) thumbs up to all the volunteers who willing to spend their holiday on this meaningful duty. Still got many things that we have to improve, hope we can provide a better service during Chinese New Year HEAS next year. See you all again next year.
